Alexandra Papazian is an accomplished beauty industry executive with over two decades of global leadership experience across both iconic and emerging brands. She most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of function of beauty, where she drove innovation and growth in direct-to-consumer personalized beauty. Previously, Alexandra was the Global President of Laura Mercier Cosmetics at Shiseido, leading the brand’s successful revitalization and international expansion, doubling the revenue and delivering 3x value to shareholders in four years. She started her career at L’Oréal Luxe where she worked directly with Mr. Armani to launch the Armani/Privé collection. She then went on to grow prestigious portfolios including Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, Giorgio Armani, Viktor & Rolf, Ralph Lauren and Shu Uemura.
Known for her strategic vision and brand-building expertise, Alexandra has successfully scaled both heritage and disruptive beauty businesses in the U.S. and internationally while staying true to the founders’ vision.
Alexandra lives in New York with her family. She speaks four languages and is a graduate from HEC Paris. She is the recipient of the CEW Achiever Award in 2020 and the Glossy 50 Innovators Award in 2023 celebrating groundbreaking thought leaders.
